I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

11.41 Here's a close up of Dorcha's injury. Doesn't seem to be affecting her at all, with luck it's a minor scrape and a good swim should clean her plumage. (slo-mo and zoom)

Liz B thinks she might have scratched herself breaking off branches to bring back to the nest. She's flying as normal, eating OK, seems absolutely fine, a good swim should clean her plumage. Just infection to worry about, but luckily it's not as hot in Loch Arkaig as it is here in London.
