Another hard strike, the second one tonight, at 23.48.20 (slo-mo). This is also a fast in and out hit, again no perching.

Your photos are so beautiful Scylla! Yes, Louis has the easy bit. That Tawny is very persistent, three strikes between 11pm and 2am overnight 7-8th May, and another two strikes last night 10-11pm 8th May. Is it the same owl, or is it more than one feeling threatened by having Ospreys in the area? Maybe we need a Tawny Owl cam!
Reminder: quick zoom briefing for https://www.conservation-without-borders.org/flight-of-the-osprey (#FOTO) project tonight, 19.00-19.30 (GMT+1) No sign up needed, just click this link and join in: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/7534698525
A video clip with two questions about Osprey nest cam watching, if you feel like responding - could you please leave your responses on the YouTube video comments, not here on RSPB community, thank you!

It's been worse for poor Dorcha than anything Aila went thru at the 'hands' of the owl. Somehow I think it's one individual, surely it must have its own clutch/brood and both parents wouldn't be out defending their territory at the same time ???
And then dear Dorcha has the weather to contend with
11.44 A very thin unringed female lands on the nest, Dorcha chases her off but she returns and steals Dorcha's fish! Bit of a cheek, but she obviously needed a good meal.
07.36 Oops a daisy Dorcha drops her breakfish
