2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

Brilliant coverage, Sandra, thank you.
I had an email from Emma, LotL announcing a streamed (Zoom) event "Thursday 28 April. From 7pm - 9pm live cameras will share the view from a hide at Loch of the Lowes Wildlife Reserve, giving you a unique look at the reserve on a spring evening. " "I'll be on hand to answer your questions about ospreys and the range of amazing wildlife that is found here. If you've only seen the reserve through our osprey webcam, this event will give you a new perspective. "
Places are bookable here, and will be available on the Scottish Wildlife Trust website shortly afterwards
Birdie's DU Summaries 2018 https://www.imagicat.com/
A humorous incident at 14:04ish when Laddie brought a stick to the nest - he landed on NC0's back with it...she was not amused!
She gave a few calls (Osprey expletives maybe?!)
She took the stick off and put it to her left side on the nest Laddie flapped back away from her
NC0 moved to the back edge of the nest
A lovely overhead wing stretch
A flap...
And away to the birch
Laddie took over incubation
NC0 returned half an hour later
It looked like NC0 had forgiven Laddie for his earlier misdemeanor!
Laddie had a quick look around
Then took flight

Another twiggy stick from Laddie. The look on NC0's face and the calls she made when he was incoming were priceless!
Uh-oh...
Time to pick up the stick and move it over NC0
NC0 getting up
Laddie settled to incubate
NC0 looking at Laddie, 'Hmmm...so that was your plan!'
After some more preening, NC0 flew from the nest
NC0 returned to the nest after a short time away. She literally shoulder barged Laddie up and out of the way so that she could take over incubation!
What a wonderful couple they are!
A pleasure Glider, it was so funny to watch them!
Laddie delivered a 'live' fish to NC0 at 19:07ish
Off to the birch
20:44 NC0 arrived back, landing on her perch
NC0 took over incubation. Laddie flying away (top left of pic)
Cam panned back out. A check of the eggs
Then settled down again
I'm getting a lot of buffering, jumping and pixelation on the LS
Morning all,
Laddie was at the nest pre day cam, 5:12ish
NC0 was up quite quickly to go off for her break
Day cam came on and NC0 could be seen flying up to the birch. She had flown in that direction passing by the trees at the back of the nest
NC0 returned at 6:40 and relieved Laddie from incubation
7:35 NC0 looking cosy
Edit: 8:00 - Off to work, BFN
