Wonderful tribute Alison, cruelly taken but will not be forgotten!

That’s a beautiful tribute to 5H2 Alison, very heartfelt and touching. A young, strong Osprey taken in prime health, so very sad but her impact in the Osprey World will be remembered forever. RIP 5H2

A goshawk attacked a juvenile chick on Llyn Clwyedog nest yesterday, 13th August but the chick (553) managed to get away and seems to be unharmed. I guess as Osprey nests increase, more attacks by goshawks will be recorded.

Goshawks are also a recovering species, so the number of Goshawks will be increasing.
The first pair was seen back in the New Forest in 2002 and now there are over 40 pairs.

A juvenile Buzzard caused a bit of a stir on the nest last evening. I've condensed the footage and speeded it up for brevity!
