Poole Harbour Ospreys 2022

BofPH have tweeted they found 5H2 alive and feisty on the ground late last night with a gash to her flank. They were able to catch her and is he being taken to a specialist vet.
CJ7 and 022 are fine and BofPH are keeping a lookout for 5H1

What a sad turn around after the seasons success So pleased adults are fine and I hope we eventually hear that the same is true for the youngsters Was 5H1 in the nest area at the time of the attack?

Saw this news last night--how awful for everyone at Poole Harbour. I feel for everyone, especially for you, Alison. At least the youngster is getting medical help. Fingers crossed that the other youngster is spotted, that the Goshawk has been scared off by CJ7's intervention, and that the rest of the season has no further dramas.

Patily, from what I gathered from chat last night, 5H1 had flown off the nest with a fish before the attack

I had been thinking of wrapping up my contributions to this thread, as it was so quiet! What a difference a goshawk makes.

Anyway, yes, it has been a manic 18 hours or so, but at the moment we still appear to have all four family members alive, which is great news. The team did an amazing job to rescue 5H2.

5H1 landed on the nest at 17:11. Found fish remains and tucking in

CJ7 returns to the nest soon after and is currently sitting on the perch looking round.
