Poole Harbour Ospreys 2022

Thanks, Alison and Scylla. Interesting that such a new Dad would be feeding a chick at this point. Perhaps this is more common than I thought...or is this highly unusual? Do not recall seeing it before in a new father but only in older, more experienced birds..

Looking sunny whichis more than can be said for many of theother nests Chicks have already been fed According to somebody on chat this nest has been mentionrd on BBC news this morning

CJ7 feeding bobs c.12.30 today. There is an annoying piece of black plastic bag in the nest, seen here blowing at the back, but it has been there a while now and doesn't seem to be causing any problems, fingers crossed.

Did anybody else listen to this I enjoyed it immensely and many interesting illustrations I think what has stuck inmy mind is the sheer number of ospreys in the US and how tolerant they are ofhumans and other ospreys.
Evidently there are many ospreys along the Cheasepeake with those in the upper reaches doing better than those further S where the waters are more saline Fish from fresher water is more nutricious than those in salty water I wonder if that is true over here too?
