Start of a new year so start of a new thread.
I have changed the title slightly.
It could be a momentous year when, hopefully, our resident Ospreys return.

Excellent news about CJ7! I immediately thought of you, Alison, and all of the other folks down there at Poole when I heard the news yesterday. Knew immediately that all of you would be over the moon at the news, and I am pretty thrilled about that as well--always great to hear that the Rutland birds are spreading themselves around the country. Fingers crossed for the future of the Poole Project and I hope for chicks there this year.
Kind regards, Ann
Just after noon, 2 Jackdaws briefly - I think they flew off "backwards" from the campost, as I couldn't see them after they went up there.

Jay in the afternoon:
There was also a Greenfinch but I didn't extract it.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
CRinger said:An Osprey, an Osprey, my kingdom for an Osprey. Apologies to Shakespeare W.
Shakespeare won't mind, the line was tailor-made for us
Yesterday afternoon:
This morning at dim daycam there was one on the perch and one heard on the campost - I left them in peace.
EDIT - and I've just found the morning of the 9th accidentally missed - there were 2 corvids just after daycam that day too.
022 touched down for a second at 0916.

Excellent news! Crikey, it was a just a touchdown, wasn't it! He must have heard CRinger's Shakespearian quote! lol
Well done with getting the capture, Mike :)
Amazing to be out on a boat this morning when the news came through - everyone cheered! Then we later saw 022 with a fish. Exciting times ahead...
