Super news, BART!... on the strength of which I'm going to switch off the downloader, as the stream is behaving badly again today and it's stressful!
If anyone is interested. Just found this site
It’s a ‘real-time’, but also historic visual representation of finish satellite tracked ospreys (and other birds) even animation so you can follow their path.
Wished we had something like this for ‘our’ birdies

Hear, hear !!! And if we did, I'm sure you would have found it - but this is the first year for some time that there has been any publicity about trackers - I think I mentioned that they seemed to stop it due to expense ???

Tweed Valley Ospreys update 14th September:
Glen 708 has had a miraculous escape - he found a boat after flying 250 miles from Cornwall out over the Atlantic!
He set off at 10.30 from Cornwall on the 12th, and flew 250 miles before landing on the boat at about 21.30, and was carried 90 miles on the boat. He left the boat next morning about 9am and flew to the rocky outcrop, arriving at 18.00 on the 13th. Simply amazing. He is one very lucky juvenile..
Tweed Valley Ospreys update 2:
Sadly Kirk 707 is presumed perished. His tracker hasn't updated since 5th September although the battery shows 100% power.
But Tweed 706 is having fun in the Aveiro lagoon area of Portugal, has been there for a while now, could potentially over-winter there.
Map as at 14.00 today
Tweed - gold
Kirk - blue
Glen - pink

The mystery of the strange journey of Tweed Ospreys Glen (708) unravelled - it was two boats, Tim Mackrill was right - Sacha Dench has been in conversation with the captains after the ships were identified via the vessel finder app. Just amazing. Video just released:
