I agree, Catlady. That needlelike mouth looks lethal.

It's a garfish - occasionally seen on the osprey nests in Wales.

Yes, sorry everyone - I had it in the title of the video in the Forum Friends thread.  I'm very surprised we don't all have a certain fondness for Garfish - remember Nora's introduction?

And would you believe it - here's another one brought in by Andy today!  And taken away again!  And brought back again!  Very frustrating that there's not a good view of it on the second delivery so's to see if the head's been removed - I suspect it has:

Lotts of stream drop-outs today.

This was, according to Lena, supposed to be a fish delivery - she was not happy!

There must have been a fish delivery during a dropout because I saw the leftover being brought back.  It wouldn't have been a Garfish, I shouldn't think, as the leftover was a tiny fistfull.

Well before midnight something brought Lena to the nest and she was on guard all night.  In the morning Andy skydaned, there were a couple of mating attempts before he flew off.
