HAPPY NEW WEEK! HAPPY FULL MOON! HAPPY AUTUMN EQUINOX!

The Harvest Moon turns full Monday night/Tuesday morning (depending on your location). The equinox is Wednesday for most of us.

(Sorry, AQ, I didn't work out when you will experience all these events. It's sweltering hot here tonight, and my brain isn't working. LOL!!!)

  • Just a thought

I've been told the way to achieve inner peace is to finish the things I've started.
Today I finished two bags of potato chips and a chocolate cake.
    I FEEL BETTER ALREADY!!!

(Today's quote prompted me to buy us some chips for this evening. . . )

  • AQ and Heather: I had the BBC World Service on, but I wasn't paying much attention to it. I heard the word "Adelaide" and I thought, "Wait...what?!" And they kindly expanded on the story. LOL Glad you have no damage.

  • Son in law didn't notice anything either, he says.
He got told off yesterday for opening his room door while the food delivery person was still on the corridor. He has to wait until 3 minutes after the knock, thought he had but.... Anyway he apologised and all is well.
AQ - I don't think he'll get a chance to taste the whiting. He will be taken to the airport under police escort and then flies to Perth, which is apparently where he is needed. He thinks that he's had the best quarantine experience - a friend who flew directly to Perth wasn't as happy with his hotel/food.
  • Good Morning. Didn't know anything about the earthquake in Adelaide so am just off to Google it..... glad you're not affected, AQ.

I've been more concerned with watching the volcanic activity in The Canary Islands as we go there on holiday, as you know. Its a tiny island and I feel for those who are losing their homes - no one has any idea how long the eruption will last or how much the final damage will add up to.

Apparently we've had 3 degrees higher temps through this month so far, here, which is why it feels so summery. Nice not to have the heating on, yet.

  • LINDA - I meant to ask if your Canary Islands holidays were anywhere near the volcano. Our news has shown horrific scenes of lava devouring homes.
  • AQ/LINDY - yes, awful for the folk on La Palma island. I have heard, over the years about that volcano. Volcanologists have spent ages studying it and trying to predict when it would erupt.

  • Good morning. Felt much better yesterday. Had promised myself a day away from the computer, so kept to that, and actually walked about quite a lot more than I had been – still using the frame all the time. J walked into town twice – in the morning to collect repeat meds, then had a phone call to say his reading glasses were ready to collect in the afternoon. Today he has gone for dentist check-up.

Yesterday we had a man to fit battery storage to our solar generation. Nobody due today!

AQ – do rest the sore bits! Take care of yourself.

PAT – hope you soon shake off the cold.

ANNETTE – enjoy time with whoever? whenever!

Really sunny here again - enjoying these warm autumn days, much better than high summer!

As the harvest moon went down towards the horizon it seemed extra large, and was orange almost like a pumpkin.

I have seen that before, too. But last night I had a dream that the moon became terrifyingly large and threatened o engulf Earth! Happy to be drinking my coffee!

Good morning, all! It's a beautiful morning here and we'll soon be heading north.

    WOOOOOOO ............. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Late to the party as usual. Wishing you a fabulous trip with reports after!

  • My monarch eclosed while I was out on Monday. I returned to find an empty chrysalis. I took it in and examined it for gender. It's a girl!!! Headed now down to Mexico! Good luck little monarch!

Well, I'm off myself on the third of my trips this month to take my friend to pick up her van in New Jersey, 6 hrs today and 6 hrs tomorrow.. Don't ask. I'll check back in a couple days. In the meantime, I am hoping no more "bits fall off" in this crowd, ...including me! Take care of yourselves so I have someone to come back to!
