3.9.21 - LR2 sighted in Southern Spain
25.10.21 - LR2 still in Southern Spain
As the 2021 Osprey season at Loch of the Lowes enters its final stage, it is reassuring to know how very well LR1 and LR2 are faring in the build-up to their first migration. Laddie (LM12) and NC0 (who, it is thought, will soon start her long journey south) are continuing to provide for, and protect, these wonderful (and loud!), young juveniles. Last month, it was fantastic to see the confidence in both LR1 and LR2 when they took to the sky for the first time, as well as watching them practise their spectacular diving skills into the Loch - sights to behold! With only a short number of precious weeks that we have remaining viewing Laddie, NC0 and their family on the webcam, let us hope everything continues to go well.

Edited video of Laddie's double delivery to LR2 and NC0 this morning, with added ravens
Good morning all, Thanks very much for the vid, Geemeff. I did wonder yesterday if NC0 had seen Laddie tucking into his fish nearby and was hanging around the nest waiting for him to deliver it. Good to see that their bond is still as strong this late in the season. LR2 is at present on the perch fish calling. He had flapped down to the nest from the cam post at 6:40
Morning Patily
7:35 With a stretch of his wing...
...and some more shouting...
He flew off
Swooping behind the trees
Past the left side of the nest then out of view

Great video GEMEFF LR2 has certainly got his mother's voice What a star Laddie is
Morning Patily, Sandra, and everyone. I wanted to get both parents and noisy boy LR2 in the same video, thinking every sighting is potentially the last. Have been doing a lot of last-sighting blast from the past posts lately as Aila left last year on the 22nd August and Captain on this day. Given the perils of migration, who knows when or if we'll see them again. Nostalgic time of year!

Thanks for the video Geemeff. Good to see the 3 of them but as you say, not for much longer and it's always a sad time of year. I dropped in to Lowes yesterday but didn't see any of them.
11:04 One flew off from above the cam. It had been there for around an hour and a half (alarm chirps on landing and then it sounded like it was preening/zipping/shaking its feathers occasionally throughout its visit - no fish calling)
It veered off to the left
It was difficult to get better close up views of the Darvic ring even on 0.25 speed but I assume it was NC0?
