3.9.21 - LR2 sighted in Southern Spain
25.10.21 - LR2 still in Southern Spain
As the 2021 Osprey season at Loch of the Lowes enters its final stage, it is reassuring to know how very well LR1 and LR2 are faring in the build-up to their first migration. Laddie (LM12) and NC0 (who, it is thought, will soon start her long journey south) are continuing to provide for, and protect, these wonderful (and loud!), young juveniles. Last month, it was fantastic to see the confidence in both LR1 and LR2 when they took to the sky for the first time, as well as watching them practise their spectacular diving skills into the Loch - sights to behold! With only a short number of precious weeks that we have remaining viewing Laddie, NC0 and their family on the webcam, let us hope everything continues to go well.
Ahh that's great - the camera has been panned out to show the birch in full. Thanks cam operator!

11:36 At last, a headless fish delivery for LR2 from a fully cropped Laddie!
LR2 launched attacks at Laddie to remove him from the nest
12:02 A pause in eating...something around?
12:05 Back to tucking in
LR2 was being bothered by a corvid
He took his fish off to the birch (12:38ish) to continue to eat in peace!
The cheeky thing was on the nest straight after LR2's flight away
16:59 A headless? fish delivery from NC0. Both juveniles were on the nest - LR1 claimed it
LR1 gave a tug at the fish rather than NC0's talons
NC0 left the nest
17:32 LR1 still tucking in. LR2 calling for fish
17:59 A fish for LR2 from Laddie
Another 'attack' on Laddie
Which made him stumble slightly
Laddie took flight
A nibble of his fish
Then took it off to the birch
18:26 LR1 flew off with the remainder of her fish at 18:27
Guess who arrived on the nest?!
Morning all, There wasn't any Osprey activity on the nest yesterday evening after LR1 flew off with her fish. No fish deliveries as yet this morning. Both juveniles have been seen/heard
ENS at present
Laddie brought a stick to the nest at 8:25ish - juveniles thought breakfish had been served.
Both arrived at the nest
Laddie made a quick exit
A fish was delivered at 8:45 - LR2 took it from Laddie
At time of posting, LR1 is on the nest still awaiting her first meal of the day. BBL
