12.7.21 - LR2 fledged at 53 days old, c17:40 Blog: LR2 fledges
From little 'fluff balls' to almost fully grown ospreys, LR1 and LR2 are doing amazingly well all thanks to the fantastic ongoing care from NC0 and Laddie (LM12). Not only have we seen Laddie providing fish for his family but NC0 has been successful several times just recently as well - what first-class parents they are! There continues to be the occasional intrusion from ospreys passing through, however, the nest and chicks have been protected outstandingly. We look forward to the next exciting phase in the young ospreys' development.
See previous page re LR2's 17:40 fledge
20:41 Fish from Laddie. NC0 followed him to the nest
While LR2 was being fed, LR1 made her way back to the nest from beyond the birch
LR1 made her way round to be fed
The LS 'jumped' during her feed then showed LR1 eating with the remainder of the fish

20:59 Another 'live' fish from Laddie - LR1 was quick to grab it before NC0 could
Incoming (left)
LR1 turned with the fish and 'went for' NC0 twice when she dared try to grab it
21:17 LR2 waiting to see if there will be anything left for him to eat
Good to know that LR1 can successfully 'deal with' a live fish
Oh, so what I captured was his 2nd flight, Geemeff? LotL stated that he had an 'ungainly landing' which I took to mean on the edge of the nest, as he did in my pics a minute or two later
21:56 A fish from Laddie which NC0 claimed!

Judge for yourself Sandra, here's the longer version of LR2's fledging, incorporating the first flight at 17.38 watched by LR1, and the second flight right after at 17.40, watched by both sister and mum NC0. Still with a camera glitch, luckily the livestream was back up at just the right time.
Thank you, GEEMEFF
I've got nothing to contribute for late afternoon up to late evening, it's taken me hours to clear up the mess created by this and other flaky cams while I was "absent".
NC0 had been on the nest with her 2 fledglings, fish calling in vain - at this point she turned and flew off to our left:
A while ago one of the parents (can we see NC0's leg rings or not? whoever, s/he looks small) flew in overhead after the chicks looked slightly "interested" in something below:

LR1 gave me a fright this morning - Laddie brought breakfish 04:40:
.
LR2 has been on 'n off the nest since then, currently "off", it looks as tho NC0 is on the nest defending at this moment - well she's in a mantling pose.
Very enthusiastic take-offs and landings, I can't say who each one was. This is an unedited FF, just to save labour for me:
