From little 'fluff balls' to almost fully grown ospreys, LR1 and LR2 are doing amazingly well all thanks to the fantastic ongoing care from NC0 and Laddie (LM12). Not only have we seen Laddie providing fish for his family but NC0 has been successful several times just recently as well - what first-class parents they are! There continues to be the occasional intrusion from ospreys passing through, however, the nest and chicks have been protected outstandingly. We look forward to the next exciting phase in the young ospreys' development.
See the last post of previous page for LR1's 'milestone' today

...then landed in a tree behind the nest (right of pic)

17:19 Laddie flew from the back tree where he had been sitting, went to the right (out of view) then must have back tracked to fly low over the Loch in the direction of the birch. I didn't see him land on a branch.
18:55 A headless fish delivery from Laddie. He flew to the nest via the lower birch area and over the Loch
NC0 arrived to take charge of it
20:25 A successful dive, from the birch, by NC0!
She headed back to the birch after the feed had finished
20:41 What an awful, wet evening
21:17 Oh well done, NC0, another success!
Lovely to watch this nest. The chicks gaze just followed mum as she took off. One day soon, they'll be doing just that.
She's currently sitting on her lucky perch
It is, Korky
NC0 landed above the cam a short time ago (when she left the nest after the feed). They're watching and learning from her every move.
Morning all, a very rainy day at Lowes and I don't think it let up much overnight either.
It hasn't stopped Laddie, however, from delivering FIVE fish to the nest already! (all timings are approximate)
1) 4:50 NC0 was sitting on the birch when Laddie brought this one. When NC0 finally arrived, she was too late to claim it as LR1 had decided that she would get to the tiddler first!
LR1 warned NC0 off when she approached
2) 5:18
NC0 came to claim it. LR2 was fed
3) 6:50
4) 7:04
5) 7:38
NC0 barged her way through LR1 (left) and LR2
