Absolutely delighted to have watched three precious eggs being laid. Laddie and NC0 have perfected their incubation duties and, through trying times during April, defended them and the nest from multiple intruding Ospreys. Hopefully, it will not be too long until we see three chicks being cared for by their super parents.

No they didn't, Wendy. Hoping that when Bob 3 decides to start making an appearance, the pip will be at the fatter end of the egg - that's if the empty shell remains on there
Here's a couple of (poor) snaps just to show how much has been lopped off the tree! It was good to visit again. The digi-scoped photo taken from the hide shows Laddie returning to the nest around 4.45pm. NC0 didn't get up to let him have a turn brooding so he left and sat in a tree opposite the hides.

Oh wow, Korky, such cracking pictures! How wonderful to get a different perspective of the nest - thank you so very much for sharing. Now we know where NC0/Laddie sit before they flap down to the nest
I hope you had a great time?

I could understand you including a veiled apology if it had been a half-decent day for taking pictures - I think they're wonderful! In a way I'm sorry to see the foliage all cleared away but it's much better for the ospreys, of course. And it's very good for me to have MARY's info reinforced that the nest doesn't slope down at an alarming angle!
I'm so glad you got ospreys today after yesterday's trip to osprey-free LG.

04:26 - A morning poop:
Laddie visited, only briefly I think but we were zoomed in:
FISH !!! !!! !!!
Small (again) headless one. Keep 'em coming, Laddie ;)
NC0 dragged it across the osplets:
Poor egg :(
Every time I glance at this feed, #2 is getting a very raw deal. Maybe SANDRA will look later with a dispassionate eye
Ooh, I wonder if #1 has conked out now and #2 is getting fed
Feed finished.
