The happy couple last year - lets hope its not too long until we see them safely return from migration.

Whoever the female was, she looked extremely thin, Geemeff! Her necklace didn't appear to be as dark as Aila's?
Sad to say not our beautiful Aila......

I've been up to GEEMEFF's channel to check and, sure enough, the video of the 2 on the nest is there, she must have forgotten to post it here. I didn't discover that, however, until I'd got waylaid by her beautiful cats - oh no, not another furry family to keep track of
Here's the long version video of the encounter. WT chatters are very divided on the ID, there is talk that the emaciated female is Aila in such poor condition that her markings don't look the same and an ID can be better made if she returns after a good meal or two. Personally I don't think it's her, face markings a bit different, but the main reason I think not is that worn out or not, she wouldn't be silent!
Thank goodness Jason and crew got the back up camera going yesterday evening, just think, we might have missed all this <shudders>.
