Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.
11.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays an egg
14.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays her second egg
17.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays her third egg
He went again at 12:00ish, his talons catching some nesting material - it dropped on the edge of the nest
I hope I don't speak too soon but all seems calm now though NC0 does appear to be on alert (looking around etc.)

Hi Cirrus, the intruder hasn't got the distinctive 'Y' marking on the front of her forehead as Lassie did. Also, the back of head captures I have are different too. It is possible that this could be the same intruder from last season.
You're welcome, Cirrus.
Laddie delivered a fish just after 13:00
She thoroughly deserved that after the events from this morning
Laddie incubating
14:16 Laddie made a soft contact call before heading off the nest (to the right then round to the left and out of view)
***NC0 landed less than a minute later to start her incubation***
***My apologies, it was Laddie returning to resume incubation - a clearer pic

Unknown said:Thank you Sandra. But, dare I ask ....... are we quite sure the intruder isn't Lassie ??/ Just enquiring
Heaven forfend
Just imagine the anguish for everyone.
MARY, re your remark a few pages ago about video getting too long - I am utterly daunted at the thought of covering today's intrusions, thanks so much for what you've done

15:15 Definitely NC0 incubating now! She flapped down onto the nest at approx. 15:00
Around 15:30 NC0 was chipping/alarm calling and flew from the nest. She arrived back a couple of minutes later.
Laddie has since arrived back to give NC0 a break, the wind almost upended her as she stood up
I'm having an absolute mare with my computer at the moment so will need to do a scan. BBL
