Tweed Valley chick Talla has migrated and is in Brittany according to latest satellite tag data

Talla in Portugal after epic overnight flight over Bay of Biscay

It was great to see this news about Talla...but it got me thinking........ what is the greatest length leg flown non-stop?

Alright...I have no knowing given the data I have seen do far...ie did Talla rest up on some sea going vessel...but i did see the purported track from Brittany to land fall Portugal was some 1200km !!!

No stopping to my knowledge
"Early on 28th August, Talla set off again to the south of Brittany and at 1.30pm flew out into the Bay of Biscay. Talla made an incredible long flight right through the night, crossing the Bay of Biscay and then along the Atlantic adjacent to Portugal before flying inland at 15.46pm"

The 2nd Tweed Valley chick Blue 670 set off on 31 August and her last point 05 Sept was in Northern Spain . Blue 671 no further data since 01 Sept so waiting for update , hopefully all is well .

I think Deshar from Loch Garten 2008 still holds the record for the longest non stop flight by any Satellite tracked osprey . I am sure there is a post on the forum about his journey

As at yesterday (forgot to post it) TWO osplets @ Port Lincoln - I shan't be following this nest this season, the last one was too stressful for a number of reasons.
