Arrival dates 2020LM12 (Laddie) unringed – 21st March at 15:33 NC0(16) blue ring, left leg – 28th March at c12:00 (More here)
Although they didn’t use the webcam nest last year, Laddie and new female, NC0, successfully raised one chick within the vicinity of the Loch. Blog hereHoping that both have a safe migration back to Lowes, and delight us with their presence on cam this season.

Following MARY's slomo landing and the snaps of the Egyptian Goose's visit, here's a summary of the approx 20 minutes - it was very noisy at times and seemed to object to the cam:

Good grief, not a bird I was expecting to see at Lowes! I hope it wasn't calling for a mate to say it had found a perfect nest!

Thank you, LYNETTE! As you'd expect, I couldn't tell the difference between male and female - just googled and found that "distinguishing between males and females can be a challenge..." so I shan't take up space in my little head with trying
Not many visitors to the nest at the moment.
This little blue tit did make a fleeting visit though, but only stayed on the bottom half of the nest.
