The colour isn't that good, but they look a lot like Greenfinches to me.
Not many birds have such a big triangular beak.

I did check Greenfinches, Richard, but thought that the colour was not nearly close enough.  Having seen how Siskins vary on the LG and Czech feeders I tried to make allowances in this case but couldn't plonk on an ID

Greenfinches vary a lot in colour, it looks like 2 females and a male

Thanks, all. I'd forgotten how different this camera shows birds. The Ospreys never looked like Ospreys on other nests and it follows that apart from black coloured birds, there is no reason why other birds might also look a bit strange--stripes on female Greenfinches, etc.!

This morning the flies started off on the sticks at the front and gradually spread over the nest - they were still there @ 12:30, which is as far as my clip goes.

To continue with my fly obsession - yesterday they didn't leave until well past 16:00

This morning, unusually, the deer have been and gone!  And no whiteys!  A couple of corvid perches,that's it.

Not quite so pale now cos I've intensified it a bit.  Later a Kestrel perched for a while but didn't do anything "interesting":
