Birdies LG DU update.
This morning CJ7 came down from the campost @ 05:24 and had a bit of a seesaw on a stick:
She pottered and poked about the eggs and flew @ 05:54.
Unknown said:A raven just took both eggs.
It was a long time before CJ7 returned, she didn't immediately check the nestcup but the Raven buzzed her. Later she sat in the nestcup for a while but hasn't laid a third egg yet.

When I heard about the raven thief I went back (thanks for the vid for reference, Scylla!). They are such canny birds. It took the first egg, whether to feed young or for itself we will never know, but was back quite quickly for the second. Given that time difference I expected it to return for a potential third, but it didn't. Did it know there were only two? Can they count? LOL I didn't think that CJ7 was committed to the eggs anyway. When she returned she stood on the side seemingly unaware anything dire had happened. Well, it would have been dire had they been fertilised of course. I'm still longing for a passing male to drop in. BirdGuides are still reporting sightings along the south of England.

Last sighting of CJ7 this afternoon - she left, assisted by the wind!
She'd just finished faffing and let us see a clear vlew - having laid it with very little effort:
She's crouched over it now, tho when I first looked she was in incubation mode.
CJ7 paid quite a bit of attention to the egg but didn't stay to incubate overnight - this was the final on-cam sighting and we can only see a small part of the egg:
On nightcam we can't make it out at all:
just now, can just see that egg. Looks hopeless at present.

She had come down from the campost @ 05:26, she cleared unwanted little sticks from the nestcup and rolled the egg, was to and fro between the nestcup and the fence looking out, repeated all day between flyoffs until the wing shot below.
It's been lightly snow/sleeting, I think:
