Not that I'm expecting it after RICHARD's advice, but no Nightjar seen since the early morning of the 25th, and this is how the concentrated peering gets one (me,anyway) - I was sure an insect was glistening on the tip of the perch but must have imagined it:

I nearly gave up on that one - it simply would not appear, fell between the cracks or something - but we got there in the end. I wouldn't have mistaken it for a Kestrel, even if I couldn't recognise it as a Hobby
Then I accidentally found 022 landing, with another osprey flying away - as if it had been on the campost but I couldn't detect it there because of tappings from other sources:
I dread to think I'm going to have to divide clips into 15-minute lengths in order not to miss "people".

We had a lean 'n hungry unringed male on the nest briefly this morning. It was under pressure from a second osprey, only glimpsed overhead.

I have to agree with you Richard, What I've missed recently whilst being poorly ! It''s wonderful news to know Ospreys are still here. Thank you , as always Scylla, for you graft and effort to present us such lovely videos.
