Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

Geemeff, I mentioned in an earlier post that George had posted (on WT chat long since cleared out) about the viewing figures. Do you have them in your immense filing system? Ian
At last a fish from Louis
The look of shock on the poor fish's face!

Sadly not Ian! I know there were 2600 on youtube when the BBC showed the nest live seconds after Chick3 hatched. Will dig about in the deep dark recesses of my saved drafts, see what I can come up with.
Edit: this is from the Oban Times article on 6th June:
In the early part of the season to mid May, the livestream has attracted some 160,000 viewers (that is viewers, not views), up more than 300 percent on this stage last year.
George Anderson of Woodland Trust Scotland told us: ‘The livestream has really found a special purpose this year, with so many people stuck indoors and hankering for some experience of the natural world. After the birds appeared on BBC Breakfast on Monday we saw 11,000 new web-watchers in one day. They have also featured on Channel 4 news a couple of times as an “and finally” and on BBC Springwatch.

Thanks Geemeff, those are the numbers I was thinking of. I promise no more questions (for today)! Ian

Ask away, I should have been at Lord's preparing for next week's Test, now corona-cancelled, so have plenty of time..
12.12, very nice fish. Louis flew towards the nest and past it so arrived from behind the camera. I couldn't get a good snap of him bringing it in so here is one showing the size of the fish. Ian
Per my previous post, here is a snap of Louis bringing the fish in and one just for the sake of showing his wings. Note two of the chicks avidly watching Louis arrive. Ian
14.07, prolonged "fight" between numbers 1 & 3. It looked for a bit that number 3 would come out on top, but eventually number 1 was victorious. Ian
Out of interest as an afternoon comparison taken at 2.50 pm
Loch Arkaig is still on top
