Link to May 2020 thread
Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

It sure is!
I would like to be a "core contributor" but I have so much else "on", and this thread has such great contributors without me, that I am not worrying about 24/7 reporting.
Having said that, I've scurried thru the night and there have been no disasters. After 2 early-morning flyabouts Aila found a leftover and fed the chicks... twice:
Louis arrived empty-footed (as far as I could see) @ 05:50, he stood around looking gorgeous and moved some sticks and flew off @ 05:56:
At 06:27 Aila had a double flyabout, the second time taking off with a cheep but I didn't hear any alarm calls, nor could I see an alien presence. She was back and settled down @ 06:34.
06:49 Louis brought a smallish stick.
That's the last we've seen of him this morning, let's hope he's gone fishing.

The fish man has arrived - and will be the third feed of the day so far....
Its a whole fish

At least you took the time to catch Louis arriving with the fish Ian
Good morning, I'm really enjoying everyone's photos and clips, I'd like to offer these two of yesterday's sunset and this morning's sunrise, as well as a video clip from a while back which seems to keep amusing the chatters on WT as it still gets a mention from time to time. Thank you Ian for pointing me here, I've been an RSPB member for years but found the forum structure confusing until now. Still getting the hang of it, sometimes videos load directly and other times just as a link, but hey-ho..
