Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

Louis brought the fish back a few minutes ago and a feed is taking place. Ian

I remember last year there were quite a few comments about the state of the nest, and how different it was to other nests, with all the bark and moss, and very few branches.
I thought how good it actually was at camouflaging the chicks.
Here is a photo of this years nest, and if you ignore #3 who is still in early stage grey, and look at #1 and #2 you can again see how well they are hidden.

Very valid point Richard. The nest has always struck me as perfectly functional at keeping the chicks safe which must be the number one criteria. Ian
16.43, Louis brings back the earlier fish. Doesn't he have nice wings! Ian
19.05, Aila is still feeding the chicks from the earlier fish, Louis brings in a fine whole fish. 19.13, after the feed, Louis flies off with (I think) the one he brought in at 19.05. He had been hanging around doing a bit of "tidying up" waiting for the feed to end. Ian
Good Morning All
You are on a roll now Ian, lovely to see all your captures - especially the wing spread one above.
The morning so far is
A feed around 04.35 - I'd say # 1 Bob got the lions share, closely followed by #3 Bob - #2 Bob got a few mouthfuls but probably missed out most on this feed.
Aila went for a fly around first
She came back and retrieved a fish tail from somewhere
No.3 stretching over the other two to grab a piece
Big Bob stands up - what's going on eh!
Wee Bob fires the thinnest laser I have seen
Aila starts another feed but all she has is the tail
Louis pays a visit - fishless - Aila is saying where is breakfast Louis Eh!
Aila is brooding now.
I noticed when I was scrolling back just how little night cam there was - 4 hours in total.
