Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)
IMAGICAT
Still glowing just before daycam - those fires must be very hot!
First bird of the day, perched behind the blobs - one was back a couple of times between 16:00 and 16:30, and I may have glimpsed a deer or two but couldn't say for sure:
It's still holding on - just !!!
Richard B
Just before daycam this morning - but not much longer!
It's been a bright day for you today, RICHARD:
Just one corvid seen up to mid-morning, it came onto the nest but right behind the permanent smudge on the lens.
Two fires still glowing
We had a Crow shining in the sun, it toyed with a pine-cone and I cut him off at the first opportunity because there would be no end to it and I gotta get on
The phenomena started around 03:40 and from the behaviour of the grass I'm expecting frost in the morning but we're not there yet:
Maybe no frost, but it was very cold. I had to scrape the windscreen this morning and the temperature hasn't got above 3* C all day.
Frost this morning, can't tell if I've captured it till it's posted:
