Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

Early evening and a Mistle Thrush turned up - well, I can't tell how many there were, just one seemed to take the starring role but there were one or two others who had bit parts.
I went down to Holes Bay again this morning, and after nearly three hours of excellent birding on a beautiful autumn day was about to leave when this happened! So glad I didn't rush off too soon.! The second photo shows how close Holes Bay is to human habitation. On the other side (behind the camera) is a dual carriageway, an industrial estate and the town centre!

Kind regards, Ann
Thank you for more treasures, ALISON - I hope this augurs well for next season
I've got a mystery (to me !!! ) pigeon visitor, it perched for 4 minutes not doing anything, not showing us a variety of poses to judge its markings :( I tried adding a smoother to the sharpener for the crop but couldn't do any better:
Fly-off wing pattern:
There were single corvids thru the day but no other unusual visitors. It's been a dry evening.
Thank you, Cirrus :) It's nothing like the juve Wood Pigeons I found via Google :(
The cam went down @ 15:50, I haven't done today's footage yet.
