Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)
IMAGICAT
Some nice little Nightjar activity last night, but not for long - it was very windy, at nest height, at least!
No further visitors up to 04:40.
Two corvids stayed quite a while from 09:50, one longer than the other:
No further signs of bird life during the sporadically rainy day up to 16:45.
Last night's Nightjar activity, including vocals, with a teeny bit of spider thrown in:
Nothing else up to 04:30.

CJ7 on the campost then briefly on nest at 1635 Blink and you'll miss it
And I well might have missed it because it was right at the end of a 6-hour clip! I put her on half-speed but she's still not with us for long enough ;)
She was back on the campost with mild alarm chirps or contact calls @ 19:04, I think she stayed about 8 minutes but can't be 100%:
Alison Are you doing a few shifts this year for the project?
Oh no! Look what nightcam revealed
But it didn't work out quite as bad as it might have
Hours of "fun" doing that one - so if you don't watch it you're in my bad books - it's under 3 mins.
