Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)

Thanks for your efforts with the nightjar's video Scylla.....

This little stonechat obviously likes the perch, it was there for several minutes, preening and tweeting its heart out. No sign of CJ7

I'm only just "doing" PH and found the Stonechat at least 3 times by lunchtime - the latest time it landed on the nest near us and flew up to the perch, then down onto the nest the other side. Me frame went wrong due to me changing standard colours ;)
I also took some saps of Blue014, one almost identical to RICHARD's, so here's the other one:
I'm pretty sure that CJ took off from the campost @ 16:36, having been on it since 16:06 when I heard taps but couldn't find the landing clang.
Stonechat back at 18:37 !!!

Spider customers?
No-one else seen or "felt" up to 05:03.
Not a lot to report from the 10th - certainly no osprey sighting. It rained on 'n off.
It was so lovely to see CJ7 on the nest this morning, for all of 3 minutes. She did a bit of nestorising, then flew off.
Whoever set this webcam up did a fine job of it, I think its about the only cam that you can capture the beautiful spread of the Osprey's wings, it is superb.
It is such a pity that she hasn't found a partner yet or that LS7 has not returned, as it would be brilliant to see eggs laid, chicks hatch on this webcam.
Many captures of her beautiful wings! (Sorry )
She arrives 06.38
She decides to leave
Off she flies

Please don't be sorry - I can't get enough of her beautiful wings
Nothing more to report for an unpleasant (weather-wise) day, up to 02:50 this morning - except our faithful little frequent visitor, who did some navel-gazing:
