Beautiful female, Rutland's CJ7:
The hoped-for partner for CJ7, local male LS7, has not yet appeared. CJ has been tending the nest daily and yesterday she took everyone by surprise, producing an egg - which took us by surprise by surviving... until midnight at least ;)
IMAGICAT
Kind regards, Ann
It's been very sludgy trying to get into RF since I started trying @ 04:00.
Our NIGHTJAR was here again, shortly after midnight. Amplified vocals before it arrives:
Great capture scylla thank you. I've never heard/seen one live
Wonderful sounds from the Nightjar Scylla.
I see they are saying that BOPH have tweeted that CJ7 was seen in the harbour with another Osprey.
I cannot find the Tweet though on Twitter.
EDIT: 09.14
With a bit of searching eventually found it.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
02 June
Here she was leaving @ 09:19 after being on the nest since 08:45 doing nothing much:
No further activity up to 01:05 on 03 June.
No cambumps seen and it's a nasty wet morning.
It's been bugging me that I lost some footage yesterday so I've been fishing in the Recycle Bin and found it - I knew something was wrong !!! and dear CJ deserves a video
But it's very glitchy indeed! Never mind.
A wet night:
I don't think anyone's been on the nest yet this morning.
It's been a breezy day so no cambumps to give clues - but no-one seen all day except, I hope, a Stonechat @ around 12:15:
Another nasty night - up to 02:00, anyway:
Then the rain stopped. No-one seen on the nest @ 04:59.
It's been too breezy a day to detect cambumps but no-one seen on the nest all day.
Around 22:00 there was half an hour of nasty weather:
