Last season Louis and Aila arrived on their nest almost at the same instant on the 4th of April. Here's to a repeat, but a few days earlier to save our anxiety.

IMAGICAT
16.05, mating on the camera. Louis didn't chirp much so I suspect not a lot of chance of success given the wind. Ian
Neat little video from Woodland Trust showing Aila flapping away a Hoodie:
I notice that our ospreys' names are missing from titles these days, which seems strange given that the WT named them officially following a poll (do I remember right?). Maybe they're trying to be scientific.
Anyway, the Description says:
Aila chases off a hooded crow that visits the Loch Arkaig nest.
When the nest is threatened it is generally up to the female to defend. Viewers are often shocked Louis doesn’t help, but even the tiniest injury could stop him fishing and threaten the whole family’s future.
Ian S said:17.02, headless fish delivery, taken by Aila straightaway. She flies with it. Ian
Louis tended the nest twice at least before Aila came back and perched on the Robin's perch for quite a while, then down onto the nest to receive Louis for the last time just before 20:30, after which they both left:
The morning get-go:
Oh dear, they've definitely done something. The first snap above doesn't even enlarge but the other 2 do.
I can't wait for MARY to post - maybe it's just me :-/
Aila is currently on Robin's perch:

They were both on the nest at 06.02, then they mated, Louis flew off and Aila moved to her perch as shown in Scylla's post above.
EDIT: and where she still sits, she really has taken a liking to the perch this season.
