I like a morning's science spot. I looked at this goldfinch and decided that it was a juvenile. But then found there's an American goldfinch which is a bit different from the European one. I've decided it's a non-breeding male. I think? I see titmice aren't mice. A bit like crested tits? Nice birds, all.

Sorry, Korky, (1) I've become lazy, and (2) I behave as if everyone's following day by day and remembering all the birds' names, so I abbreviate and say Goldfinch instead of American Goldfinch and Redpoll instead of Common Redpoll, and there'll be more like that. Sowwy
The male Am Goldfinch is a very vivid bird in season, as you'll have seen - let's hope we last out to see them on our cams (if we're not too busy with you-know-what birdies).
