Link to August thread
Aila left on 13 August and Mallie on 20 August. Rannoch failed to follow the weekly departure pattern and we're were still enjoying her noisy company on 31 August. But not so many fish for her today and perhaps Louis is encouraging her to leave.
It's been a happy nest, mostly, this season, apart from the failure to hatch of egg 2. Let's hope Aila and Louis come back next year and we see both Mallie and Rannoch again in a couple of years.
EDIT. Louis was last seem on Thursday 5 September and Rannoch on Friday 6 September.

Rannoch has now flown off as well. Ian

scylla said:Louis with headless fish, Rannoch flies in to collect. It looks quite small from what I can see at this moment.
That "quite small" was an understatement, it was about a third of a non-whopper.
I was going to let this run until she stopped screeching, but that was about 10 minutes. On swallowing the tail she had to do some gulps to keep it down, due to the vocal interruptions.
She's back, with the usual performance.
I'm packing up, SYAL :)

Ha ha love your optimism Ian. I can still hear her and my bet is she'll be back before long to finish it off!
