The 2 chicks were ringed on 4 July and assessed as female. They were given ring numbers JJ0 and JJ2, and later named by popular vote as Mallie and Rannoch. Both weighed 1.49kg on ringing but will weigh a lot more now after a further month's-worth of protein-packed-piscine-parenting. The WT subsequently said they thought Mallie may be male. S/he fledged on 20 July and Rannoch on 27 July.

There were 2 Robins (I know they look different but I did see a slither of red on the edge of the picture at one point):
Waiting and waiting and waiting with only short breaks eventually brought forth a FISH !!! Flounder, only blurrily observed:
Blue Tit (as if there's anyone here less familiar with British birds than I am ;) ):
Rannoch was back, she did some nestorising:
She left @ 20:04, not seen again before nighttime:
IMAGICAT
Only half a fish:
Rannoch screeched so loud and long that I had to mute her:
Now she's eating on the nest.
Rannoch must have finished her fish and was shouting for more as I looked After a minute to catch jer breath she is shouting again and looking across the valley
