The 2 chicks were ringed on 4 July and assessed as female. They were given ring numbers JJ0 and JJ2, and later named by popular vote as Mallie and Rannoch. Both weighed 1.49kg on ringing but will weigh a lot more now after a further month's-worth of protein-packed-piscine-parenting. The WT subsequently said they thought Mallie may be male. S/he fledged on 20 July and Rannoch on 27 July.

09.45, Louis arrives to an empty nest with a fish. Rannoch follows Louis in & grabs the fish (and none of Louis' toes). Mallie arrives to the camera post (sensibly staying off the nest). Both currently shouting! Ian
Alerted by Ian (thanks) I rushed to snap one happy osp on the nest, chowing down. (One unhappy osp, off-camera, yelling)

15.20, both juveniles on the nest, Louis brings in a decent headless fish. After a tug-o-war, Rannoch gets it. Louis flies off to the top of the pole tree. The pole tree has no branches, hence a pole. Ian
16.33, Mallie is closer to the camera than I think I have seen before from any of the occupants. Ian

It was Rannoch - she left @ 07:43:
Little bird as reported by IAN:
FISH !!! It's Rannoch swooping in:
She finished the fish and sorted some nest material before flying off:
I've got a lot of buffering around this time.
Rannoch was back for 8 minutes:
Returned:
Joined by Mallie - first sighting of her today :o
Mallie did a bit of nestwork:
They both gave up waiting.
Rannoch returned, joined by Mallie after 15 minutes:
FISH at last !!!
Rannoch got it, poor Mallie hasn't eaten all day yet:
Rannoch's not eating the fish, she's just owning it:
IMAGICAT
That's nice First time I have managed to catch anybody for several days

17.44, Mallie's patience is rewarded with a nice whole fish. Ian
EDIT, Mallie's crop actually did look pretty empty (so ignore my earlier comment), she flies with her fish just before Rannoch returns still with her fish in talon.

According to a facebook report by Liz, the robin also visited the nest around 05-30am before daycam came alive
