The season so far: LM12 (Laddie) arrived back 15 March and LF15 (Lassie) on 23 March. Lassie laid 3 eggs on 4, 7 and 10 April hatching 11, 12 and 16 May. Sadly on 26 May tragedy struck and the third chick died. The remaining two chicks were ringed on 26 June as follows: #1 Blue PT4 (M) and #2 Blue PT5 (M). Ringing Blog
6th July PT5 fledged
7th July PT4 fledged
Both juveniles have been seen attempting to fish in the Loch. PT4 was successful on 23rd July
Lassie (LF15) has not been recorded as being seen on the nest since early morning on the 25th July - though this requires confirmation from the Lowes team

Laddie arrives with a fish. Incoming PT
Not sure who it is yet PT5 I think.
Valerie
It seems likely that she has gone on holiday rather than migrated. She may call back again before migrating. In 2004 EJ left of 31st July (Before the third chick had fledged). Then she reappeared on 6th August deliving 2 fish. She was finally seen on 10th August. Glesni at Dyfi was famous for false starts
Morvern the mother of LS7 always took a two week holiday in Caithness every year.

From scrollback. Laddie delivered a small fish to PT4 at 18.24 approx, who had been shouting for quite a while on the nest.
PT5 arrives.
18.39 approx Laddie delivers a second small fish which PT5 got.
A fish each both happy.
Some close ups of PT4 from this afternoon.
Possible intruder?
Many thanks for all the updates today If Lassie has migrated (thank you for the link to the blog, Valerie), let's hope she stays safe and enjoys her winter break, will look forward to seeing her back at Lowes next Spring - she's been a wonderful mum yet again this season. Wiping away a tear here...
