The season so far: LM12 (Laddie) arrived back 15 March and LF15 (Lassie) on 23 March. Lassie laid 3 eggs on 4, 7 and 10 April hatching 11, 12 and 16 May. Sadly on 26 May tragedy struck and the third chick died. The remaining two chicks were ringed on 26 June as follows: #1 Blue PT4 (M) and #2 Blue PT5 (M). Ringing Blog
6th July PT5 fledged
7th July PT4 fledged
Both juveniles have been seen attempting to fish in the Loch. PT4 was successful on 23rd July
Lassie (LF15) has not been recorded as being seen on the nest since early morning on the 25th July - though this requires confirmation from the Lowes team

A pleasure Starling! PT4's crop looked extremely sunken before and after the 'fish-over-the-side' episode. To see PT5 come onto the nest first with a somewhat full crop, then PT4 landing shortly afterwards, I was so relieved to see PT4 grab the fish AND keep hold of it!
This was PT4 at 21:30
He left just after 22:00

Both were on the nest 20 minutes ago before PT5 flew off. Ten minutes ago Laddie arrived with a large whole fish which PT4 seized and is now tucking into alone?!
Birdies LG DU update.
Good morning Mike, Patily and all, thank you for the early morning reports
Mike's reported fish delivery
Around 7:00 PT5 (back) stole the remainder of the fish from PT4
7:40 PT5 swallowed the fish skin and then flew from the nest
7:52 ENS
Good morning all,
It was Laddie who delivered the fish at 5.48 ish

Good morning Starling, Thank you for the confirmation, I nearly fell off my chair when Mike said Lassie! lol (now amended to Laddie)
Good morning Sandra, Lol me too, that's why I just had to scroll and see. I took a few captures, but for some reason the 2 I posted are the only survivors Lol.
You're welcome Mike :) Starling, I had that problem a few weeks ago with my captures, they didn't save in a 'folder' for some reason - I'm sure these devices have a mind of their own!
I wonder where Lassie is?
