Continued from April 2019
The season so far:
Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. They are currently incubating 4 eggs laid 2, 5, 8 and 11 April with the first expected to hatch around 9 May

Hi Cirrus, no #1 & #2 being fed with #3 at the back :-) Chick #4 was not in view but later during the feed I saw it raise its head but it didn't want fish and fell asleep again so assume it had had some earlier.
09:17 - Maya has had a couple of wing flaps but haven't seen anything around. She now stands keeping a watchful eye over the chicks who are snuggled down enjoying the sunshine

Missed 33's arrival but he is on the nest and another huge fish has been plonked down for Maya and the chicks!
33 has a few bites from the older fish then a wing flaps. He has now flown
Chicks are up and chirping "Oh goody more fish" LOL
Maya takes the fresh fish 33 has just left. Some flaps - it is still living! But she eats and offers some to the chicks too
All chicks are getting tucked into this fresh fish - #4 has itself to the front in the middle of #1 & #2 and #3 behind.
Maya has finished feeding and now she stands watching over her brood.
#1 & #2 are starting to get a little inquisitive and getting themselves out to the edge. #3 & #4 are behind, with #4 nearest us and we can see just how tiny it still is compared with its siblings.
Must walk my dog now BBL
33 has been in and left another fish.
Maya starts feeding one of the eldest chicks which is being quite dominant.
It was bullying #4 who went into submission but only for a bit and what a fiesty little chick it is for it then stood up to its elder sibling
and then, needless to say it came of the worse.
Then it pushed its way in in front of the elder chick for its fish and got fed by Maya
Good for it LOL
#4 still at the front with #1, #2 and now #3 behind.
All being fed - this is #4 getting a piece of fish
Feed goes on and chicks change position but how thoughtful of them to line up in order #1, #2, #3 & #4 (calculated guess by the colour of the heads/size :-)
Every time I come in from gardening and look at the webcam the quads are being fed. I’ve taken this on the iPad which is pretty hopeless size wise but gives an idea of how No 4 is growing.
Maya and 33 - standing guard enjoying a quiet moment while their brood sleeps
OMG Cam zoomed in !!
They discovered how to zoom !!!
