I managed to get a fairly good shot of yesterday evening's fish, to reassure all :)

Morning ALL

Thanks for the link to last night's fish Scylla.  I am glad to see it was a decent sized fish.

This morning when I looked in around 5.30am, 33 was incubating so I am wondering if he is sharing duties overnight as he did last season. 

33 is currently incubating having taken over Maya so perhaps she is off with a fish?

33 certainly always seems to be there early in the morning......either on night duty or an early fisherman, perhaps

Karen I seen the change over, no fish I am afraid, actually Maya looked like she wasn't going to move, then I thought he was going to lie down beside her, but after a bit of padding along side her she eventually flew off and he got control of the eggs LOL.... 

Thanks Mary but we know Maya will not go without for 33 is a great provider.

Hopefully we see all 4 eggs hatch and it will be pretty hard going for 33 but I have every faith in him being up to the task. In the past I have thought a few times that he was just about to try feeding the chicks but Maya always seemed to step in. I actually hope, if there are 4 hungry chicks to feed, that this season he does help with the feeding.

I remember there were many days last year when there were fish just lying in the nest uneaten. When he gets on a fishing streak he is awesome.
I dont think 3 or 4 will make much difference on past records.

Quite a dreary scene here as Maya continues to shield her eggs.
