Continued from April 2019
The season so far:
Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. They are currently incubating 4 eggs laid 2, 5, 8 and 11 April with the first expected to hatch around 9 May

Jane, I too have seen him "just about to" attempt\feed the chicks and have often got the impression that Maya stepped in as if to say No, I'll do that!. Fantastic to see him do so and with 4 mouths to feed who knows but 33 may have to help out at times. Great that he is prepared to do so :-)
33 in with another freshly caught fish. Maya is giving the chicks another feed just now and I saw its tail flap :-(
All sitting, too stuffed to stand and Maya keeps offering :-D

Chicks are growing fast and eldest are managing to get themselves out the cup now!
33 arrives and grabs himself some fish
33 continues to eat at the side of the nest. I cannot recall seeing him so much on the nest and eating at the side.
I wonder if he is being pestered by gulls for there has been a lot around the past few days.
Maya feeding the chicks again - #4 has itself at the front :-D
LOL .... more fish.
All four lined up and, at the back this time, we can really see just how tiny #4 is
While 1 & 2 spend their time bonking each other, hopefully 3 & 4 will be able to grab their food quietly and keep away from the action.
Feeding underway - nice chunk for #4. It certainly is getting its fish
