Continued from April 2019
The season so far:
Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. They are currently incubating 4 eggs laid 2, 5, 8 and 11 April with the first expected to hatch around 9 May

Morning All and thanks Scylla for your appreciation. I am sure you know and combined both events, but to avoid any confusion - the hatching of the 3rd chick was the 150th (which of course I posted about) and now we have quads here, the first, as far as I am aware, to be seen on a public camera. Quite something, the quads, and why I am so surprised no mention from Rutland VC!!
Maya fed the chicks a few minutes ago and again with her back to us. A couple of captures from it -

Maya feeding the chicks again - little and often and hopefully this way they are ALL getting fish for if they miss out at one feeding, there is a another one soon.
Weather doesn't look too nice :-(
33 has arrived with a stick and plonks it on the chicks. Maya is up and appears annoyed
33 tramples about, then places it. Maya shields the chicks and soon gets back over them while 33 still flaffs about.
Quads being fed again. And good to see Maya pushing food round the back so hopefully all getting fish.
Maya giving the quads more fish ....
