Continued from April 2019
The season so far:
Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. They are currently incubating 4 eggs laid 2, 5, 8 and 11 April with the first expected to hatch around 9 May

33 arrived I think for the fish but Maya got up and put her talon on it as if to say "No, that is ours". 33 has flown and Maya, again with her back to us blocking the view, is feeding the chicks again.
At the end of the feed, 16:32, Maya walks round cleaning up giving us a view of the clicks
she then settles down on them

33 returns with the fish and Maya takes a break
Maya returns quickly with a large bunch of hay - obviously at the hay feeders, takes the fish and begins to feed the chicks again. And again with her back to us blocking the view lol
33 returns and at the end of the feed, at last .......
I managed to get a capture of the Four Bobbleheads
Awwww
33 shielding Maya shielding the bobbles LOL
LOL I am saying shielding, I wouldn't like to think he was sitting on her!
33 returns with the remainder of the fish
and Maya starts to feed her Quads
a little easier seeing all four open beaks now :-)

Congratulations and thanks to KAREN
for the first sighting of
Rutland Osprey Project's
150th Osprey chick!
Need I say "Best viewed on full screen"? ;) I would have cropped it more but wanted to keep in 33's fly-off.
