Continued from April 2019
The season so far:
Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. They are currently incubating 4 eggs laid 2, 5, 8 and 11 April with the first expected to hatch around 9 May

When Maya did move there wasn't enough time for me to focus to get a clear look at the chicks :-(
However I did notice, who I assume was 33, diving in the water just below the nest to the right and then fly by. I wonder if he has just caught another fish?

I'm with you Jane. I thought I saw 4 earlier, but with magnifying, staring, too much chick movement, I wouldn't have placed a bet on it.

Sheila - I think you're right and far more likely he was cleaning his feet than fishing for he had just brought in that large one.
33 has just landed with a large stick! He places it annoying Maya but she is remaining on the chicks

Karen I certainly wasn't offended! I thought you were aware of my views on the 'set up' because I have said elsewhere that they have no idea if they have or how to use the zoom! Previously we have seen evidence of such a feature and benefitted from it's use. Why that is not available now is beyond me as are many other aspects around Rutland.
