Continued from April 2019
The season so far:
Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. They are currently incubating 4 eggs laid 2, 5, 8 and 11 April with the first expected to hatch around 9 May

Was about to write how contented Maya looked but I had to look away for a second and as I looke back saw that 33 had arrived an tere was a change over Wasn't quick enough to see if he brought breakfast

Maya incubating just now and looks like some left over fish at the side of the nest.
I think I just saw Maya fly off with a FISH !!! (Shall check later.)

I just got a shock due to a flash on the screen, turned out it was the sitter taking a break - either the sitter has come back or its partner has taken over.
Maya incubating at the moment. Still looks chilly and I think heavy rain is forecast. Just hope nicer weather comes in towards the end of the week, and stays, for all going well we should be seeing the first hatching of the season -- the 150th at Rutland!

Poor Maya and 33 but exciting news too for one of the villians is Blue V7 a 2016 bird from the Lake District. Fantastic s/he has make it safely back but time for it now to move on :-)
