No time to prepare a detailed synopsis of yesterday's discouraging events, which included matings and intrusions (with support from male) but no fish, despite EJ leaving the nest and her egg for a couple of quite long periods.
This sums up most of our feelings (me having said that I was not worried):

Edit
A couple of videos added to yesterday's DU, covering EJ's long break during which the male defended, and EJ tending the nestcup followed by a quick fly-around.

I know I'm a big wuss, but I have a real soft spot for EJ, and she hasn't had the best time breeding for the last couple of years (excluding 2016) and I had high hopes for her when she returned.
It really gets to me to see her calling and calling and recieve no fish, so I take long breaks, but I am recording in case we miss something important.
I don't like that green stuff around her feet. If it is net, will they step in to remove it? It is a man made hazzard, so I hope they will. Hopefully it's just moss
It's not stuck as she shook it free to move in to the cup
The male brought the green lichen/grass/whatever in around 10.23, and shows up well in Moffer's post . At 14.18 it was still merely lying on the nest, rather than in more of a bundle it is now, and that appears to have happened just before the recent visit by the male.
14.47 EJ is calling again, and moving twigs from the nest cup again. A lot of the sticks have this greeny lichen on them - a sign of clear air I believe!
It does look a bit odd, I must agree.

You're not a big wuss Moffer - just a very caring person.
I think the situation is getting to all of us and we all need breaks:-)
Glad she is not tangled in the green stuff.
Has she tried to cover the egg with the other brown bit of turf or whatever it is?
She's flown.
Strange she has appeared to cover the egg!!
It would not surprise me now if EJ has gone fishing.

I missed that completely, Karen! It has only just happened, and I don't think she did it on purpose. Perhaps someone has a vid going?
She was calling, and came to us for a close up. It must have happened then.
Garden calls. ENS
