Great sunset pictures, Lindy - thank you.
Good grief! A very quiet day here.
I'm off to join the other anti-gun types in town for a much tinier demonstration than those going on in the big cities. If only LA weren't such a ghastly drive, I'd be there. Wonderful to see so many young people politically motivated...hope they don't get discouraged; they're up against a lot of high-powered lobbyists.
Diane: I'll start the thread tonight.
Its often the quietest day, Annette. We must all be busy with things.
The anti gun protests there have been shown on the News, here. I shout "Well done!" at the screen whenever I see the youngsters with their placards. I said this morning that I'd be there, too if I could be..... It's been interesting from the start, as of course they can't smear the people demonstrating as they usually try to do. Good Luck to them, and I hope they can make America take notice.
Warmer here, and almost springlike, this morning. The birds are all very busy indeed: whilst we were gone, the pigeons have built a massive nest in the top of our apple tree. Unfortunately, they built one last year and when the youngsters fell out of the nest, they either died on the ground or were eaten by Bonnie when she found them. :-(
Next pic from our holiday album: we saw some very exotic birds, and so I got the camera out!!
Apart from these, we saw various seabirds but every time I did not have the camera with me, as I had vowed not to carry it around so much. I did manage one or two nice pictures of empty skies, and empty bushes, when I did have it with me!
I think you are right, LINDY! The sunshine today showed up dust in the house that I must have been neglecting - shame on me!
No sun here today. I was not too upset, as we had visiting family and it would have showed up the state of my windows! Shame on me too!
I wouldn't worry about a little dust, Heather. The stuff seems to come from nowhere, as soon as you have turned your back!
When I was at Minsmere last Wednesday I managed to snap such a stunning bird that it merited its own thread! Check it out by clicking on this photo:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
STARTING NEW THREAD
Great views Clare.
