EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Stunning photos as always
Last night Darren sent me some beautiful photos of an Osprey pair who have a nest on private land in Angus. It has been there for three years. The owner took him to see the nest.
They are a pair of stunning Ospreys. His photos are superb too :-)

I would think Montrose Basin would be the source of this fish lol...
I think you have to agree these are the most stunning photos of a beautiful osprey pair. :-)
Top level pictures, as usual from Darren. Thanks Mary for sharing.
Amazing pictures - thanks for posting, Mary. I especially like the last one - the Fish Dance!
Truly stunning pics... Thank Darren please, for allowing them to be shared.
One wee thing showing in a couple of the pics made me chuckle... made me wonder where an Osprey goes when it feels the need to dress up!!
Superb photos

Thanks, Mary and Darren, for the photos. Did Darren say if the chicks will be ringed?
Kind regards, Ann
Beautiful Thank you MARY, and DARREN of course
That is a funny addition to the nest Trying, well spotted. I wonder where it picked that one up :-)
Ann - the Balgavies chicks have not been rung since 2012, when Blue YD was rung and satellite tagged, it was deemed the nest too difficult to go up again. As for the other nest shown above I am not sure if any chicks there are rung, I would think not.
Thanks, Mary. I wonder if they will eventually decide to strengthen the main nest in the winter and make it accessible again. Such a shame when the chicks go un-ringed on any publicly known nest.
