EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Starling, I am not sure if SWT at Montrose Basin will have informed Roy Dennis or not, but would think they would do it.
It was sighted again today at the basin too.
LATEST FROM BALGAVIES - A FEW PHOTOGRAPHS OF GREEN BF
If I hear anything about FC6 I will post it here. :-)
It always makes me curious when you see a ringed bird, makes you want to know where it originated from, no details really needed, just the county it came from :-)
I see that UK Ospreys has FC's listed, so aware of those FC numbers but only listed as Scotland, maybe FC6 is from the same nest as FC5 LOL, when it comes to Ospreys it is all a guessing game.
HERE IS THE LINK to the photo that Ron Mitchell took of FC6's second visit to SWT Montrose Basin.
Nothing new to report from the Loch at the moment (sorry)!!!!!
I think Darren reported on 25th April that Mrs BF was sitting on eggs, so we have a wee while to wait yet before we see any chicks.
Mary - thanks for all the updates. Can you tell me please how far Balgavies is from Loch of the Lowes?
About 31 miles as a crow flies KarenThanks to Bing maps distance measuring
And about 35.5 miles by car.

While I was off the radar :-) Darren posted some cracking photos on the Balgavies Facebook page, here are some of them.
I reckon we won’t be expecting to see hatching until around the beginning of June, and as no webcam will only be able to tell by the behaviour of Mr and Mrs Green BF. Then it is a wait to see how many wee heads pop up :-). I hope all goes well for them.
He also went to Troup Head and posted some fab photos of the Gannets there.
