Oh s**t...3-31am.... Aila had left the nest, and a pine martin appeared and took an egg :-(Edit: Just moments before, Aila was in a deep sleep, head right down, until she suddenly went head up and then left the nest. :-(
3-37 ... No Aila still.... pine martin back and takes 2nd egg :-(Aila obviously doesn't know how to counter this intrusion.... she tried to attack from the air... but the pine martin was persistent and made off with 2nd egg.
3-46 pine martin back and takes 3rd egg.
It looked like Aila tried to defend the nest, by diving at the pine martin from the air....but wasn't prepared to face up to the pine martin holding her ground actually on the nest. :-(
So sad...and it was looking oh so good on this nest.
3-55 approx.... last appearance of pine martin... when Aila ( or an Osprey ) tried to dive-bomb it. By this time there was already no eggs.
04-15 Still no sign of an osprey returning to the nest.
Oh no :'(
Thank you for letting me know, Trying.

Compare EJ's reaction to Pine Marten :o
And where was Louis? Hmm, well we don't know who did the aerial attack.
