A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
All gone quiet and she settles to brood the chicks.

Another feed ... Maya really tearing at the fish, looks a bit tough ... I wonder if it is still the same fish from this morning?
Chicks lined up ... #3 is getting itself to the front :-)

And more :-)
33 was watching but has now flown
Maya had a bit of a feed herself but is now settling on her osplets
Maya dishing out what looks like the last of the fish.
Hopefully #3 who is at the back, can push forward and when it does a little rivalry from its sibling and its head goes down.
Fish finished .. none for #3 that time.
33 arrives and Maya settles back down on the chicks.
I was just checking thru my scraps of downloads from today and came across this - the two youngers seemed to have their heads tucked under the eldest as if it were Mum :-)
IMAGICAT
Maya brooding as she has been since I first looked in.
